Ongoing escalation of violence

The ongoing escalation of violence in Israel and the Palestinian territories is alarming.

ECA strongly supports the precautionary approach of most European airlines that have stopped their operations towards TLV in light of the attacks that were also aimed at the airport.
We hope that all crew who have been affected by this outburst of violence have been successfully evacuated and are safe now.

EASA in the meantime has published a CZIB (Conflict Zone Information Bulletin) advising operators to ‘closely monitor airspace developments in the region and follow all available aeronautical publications issued by Israeli State authorities, alongside available guidance or direction from their national authorities, including information shared through the European Information Sharing and Cooperation Platform on Conflict Zones’.

ECA recommends all operators continue applying a cautious approach as the situation is still developing very dynamically. Please also refer to our position paper ‘Flights Into And Over Conflict Zones’.
